DRAC Board Elections
The Annual Meeting of the DRAC will be held on Wednesday, February 20th 2008 at 6:30pm at the new Gay St. Townhomes at Fourth and Gay Streets.

The purpose of this meeting is to elect five members to the Board of Trustees. The terms of Angela Bosworth, Mark Jones, Karen Thomas, Shaun Walz and Michael Wilkos expire in February, 2008. Karen Thomas and Michael Wilkos are not running to re-fill their seats. Carolyn Parks is resigning her seat due to work commitments, and her seat will be filled by the board, per our bylaws. In addition to the election, the board will make presentations on the accomplishments of the past year, plans for the new year and a financial summary of the organization.

Pursuant to Article V, Section 7 of the Bylaws, an individual must be a member in good standing and have been a member in good standing for no less than ninety (90) days prior to the Annual Meeting in order to vote or serve on the board. Therefore, an individual must have paid membership dues no later than November, 2007 in order to vote or serve on the board.

Pursuant to Article V, Section 4 of the Bylaws, a Nominating Committee was appointed by the Board of Trustees to select persons to be candidates for election as trustees. The Nominating Committee consisted of the full board of trustees and a notice has been sent to the membership soliciting resumes from interested applicants. Interested parties may forward a resume and statement as to why they would like to serve on the board to Kevin Wood at kwood@mecompanies.com or to the physical address below by Feb. 13th.

Floor nominations will be accepted at the meeting. Nominees will be given two minutes to state why they wish to serve on the board.

Pursuant to Article IV, Section 3 of the Bylaws, the five persons receiving the largest number of votes will be elected to the two year terms expiring in 2010. The new board members will elect a member to fill the seat vacated by Carolyn Parks. Secret ballots will be available at the meeting.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may appoint a proxy to represent you (see proxy form). Please complete the proxy by printing and signing your name, dating the form and providing it to the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Shaun Walz. All proxies must be in writing and may be either mailed to the Secretary (must be received by February 19th), or they may be hand delivered to the Secretary prior to the vote on Feb. 20th. Proxies may be mailed to:
