In the 1950’s, A Raisin in the Sun was the first Broadway production written by an African-American woman who was also the first African American to win the New York Drama Critics Circle Award . Director, James Mathis, is proud to present Columbus State Community College with this highly controversial and socially groundbreaking play! (See attached M.W. Flyer 2.doc.)

[aja’s note: Have you ever been to the opera? Perhaps the thought is a little intimidating? Maybe opera is a little inaccessible, sung in a different language an all? Well, here’s an offer that may make THIS the time you finally go to the opera. Besides, as your mother always told you: How do you know you don’t like it if you won’t try it?]

Enjoy 50% off Single Tickets to Rossini's Cinderella

Don't miss Opera Columbus Production of Cinderella (La Cenerentola by Rossini) on February 29 at 8pm and March 2 at 2pm at the Ohio Theatre.

A year after writing The Barber of Seville, Rossini tried his hand at telling the Cinderella story resulting in one of opera's most popular works. Rossini's masterpiece, while featuring a stepfather and replacing the godmother with a tutor, remains true to the classic fairy-tale. Full of romance, humor and surprises, this family-friendly opera shouldn't be missed.

Sung in Italian with English supertitles. WOSU's Christopher Purdy will be giving pre-curtain talks starting an hour before each show.

When ordering, ask for a T-TYPE ticket to receive 50% off your single tickets (that's a savings of up to $50!).

Every year, the Columbus Cancer Clinic's Young Professionals Group (YPG) hosts our Wine Around the World fundraiser benefiting the Clinic's home health care support programs. This is the 5th annual event, and the past four have been very successful, raising approximately $30,000 last year alone.

The event is aimed at young professionals in Columbus in terms of both ticket price and networking opportunities. The ticket price includes 28 different labels of wine to taste, food from Confluence Park, and a silent auction. The invitation is attached, and tickets can be purchased by calling the Clinic at the number on the invitation. This year's Wine Around the World will be on Thursday March 27 from 5:30-8:00 PM at Confluence Park restaurant. (See attached Wine Around the World Invitation.pdf.)
