Columbus is a Buckeye town, no doubt.  But is it a Buckeye downtown?  Most things Ohio State are confined to the campus area and to our TVs when the Bucks don the scarlet and gray for some gridiron or cager glory.  But there is a little corner of Buckeye-dom right in the center of 43215.

Sure, the OSU Urban Arts Space, which is housed in the beautifully renovated Lazarus Building, has some really cool exhibits and activities, but did you know the great minds and hard work behind the art come from Buckeyes through and through?

Horizontal RuleBucks Downtown Part Deux

We already told you about the Urban Arts Space, the Buckeye's little corner of downtown (see above).  Well, this week, the Bucks will make another downtown appearance.  On Thursday, February 10 the Lady Buckeye basketball team will hit the court for a special game appearance at Nationwide Arena versus the Boilermakers of Purdue.  The game tips at 6 p.m. and tickets have been discounted to just 10.00, so it's a great after-work event for any and all Buckeye Nuts.

In addition to showing the lady cagers some love, a packed house will help Columbus in its bid to land a future Women's Final Four.  Columbus is scheduled to host first and second round games for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament this year at St. John Arena and first and second round games of the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at Nationwide Arena.  Let's show the powers-that-be that choosing Columbus for post-season collegiate basketball games is the right move.  In basketball parlance, we need you to make an assist!
