Six Seasonal Events in December

Dear Eric,


Welcome back from the Thanksgiving / Black Friday / The Big Game / Cyber Monday / Urban Meyer activities and festivities over the past few days. I hope you have had a solid weekend of relaxation and reflection, and are ready for the week (and final month of 2011) ahead!

For the month of December, we have planned six seasonal member events for you to enjoy where you can connect with other members, network for business, and give back to the community. They range from a wine tasting to a holiday-themed shuttle tour to a winter clothing drive and more. We hope to see you at these upcoming CYP CLUB activities.

In addition, we have most of the details for our winter athletic leagues finalized and online at www.cypclub.com/athletics. Check it out!

Join us for a social wine tasting in the Short North - a great way to meet other young professionals in a casual setting. The event includes five tastes, cheese/crackers and light snacks, and a full bottle of wine to take home that evening.

Cost: $30 online / $35 at the door

Speed Networking Breakfast

Speed Networking

You'll have the unique opportunity to sit across from and meet up to 50 other professionals to hear what they do and promote what you do. But you'll have to talk fast because once the bell rings, you'll get up, move, and start all over again.

Cost: $10 online / $15 at the door

Trees, Tinsel & Traditions: Holiday Shuttle Tour

Downtown Holiday Bus Tour

Kick off the holiday season by joining us for an historic and holiday-themed bus tour of downtown Columbus. Get a front-row seat for some of the city's oldest and newest holiday traditions - along with some local eats, cocktails and holiday treats.

Location: Various stops in downtown Columbus
Cost: $30 per person

Winter Clothing Drive

Clothing Drive

We are partnering with UCT (United Commercial Travelers) to warm up Columbus at a clothing drive and social event at Bar 23, as we collect much-needed items for Faith Mission Homeless Shelters. We'll need all available hands to hit our goal of filling up a truck with donations.

Holiday Party

You're invited! Join us in celebrating the holiday season and the end of another great year with the CYP CLUB! Network and socialize with CYP CLUB members and friends at KDB Easton in Easton Town Center. All are welcome to attend.

Cost: Free to attend (donations accepted at the door for charity)

Group Dance Lessons

Dance Lessons

Learn to dance Swing and the Foxtrot with other members in this social group dance lesson, led by instructors at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Pre-show meet-up at Texas Roadhouse (next door). Bring a partner, or get partnered up.

The CYP CLUB (Columbus Young Professionals Club) is a "for-impact" membership organization made up of more than 14,000 young professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, creative thinkers, and social people who live & work in the greater Columbus, OH area. Founded in July of 2005, the CYP CLUB offers events, activities, and athletics on a weekly basis for our growing membership of local young professionals (ages 21-45).
