The Development Committee works to develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Whether you have the time to join the committee, or simply have a couple of contacts you can help us reach out to, we welcome your support. To help out, please email Heath Hughes (Chairperson), at development@YPColumbus.org

We would also like to introduce a NEW sub-committee under the Treasurer. If you have a financial background or just simply like to work with money, we want your help! Please contact Michelle Greenlee, at treasurer@ypcolumbus.org, if you are interested.

Young Survival Coalition's In Living Pink Fundraising Gala

Every year in the United States, 11,000 women under age 40 are diagnosed with breast cancer. These women are typically diagnosed at later stages, have higher mortality rates, and face different challenges than their older counterparts.

The Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the only organization that focuses exclusively on young women with breast cancer. The YSC offers resources, connections and outreach to support, empower, and give hope to the women it serves.

In order to ensure its continued programming, the YSC will hold its annual In Living Pink fundraising event on November 19, 2010 at Brookshire. This event will raise money to support and increase awareness of the services offered by the local YSC chapter. With good food, entertainment and celebration, everyone can have a great evening while contributing to a noble cause.

As a powerful community fighting breast cancer in young women, the members of the YSC believe that no woman diagnosed under age 40 should be left to face breast cancer alone. Your involvement will help make that possible.

Pig Roast - OSU vs UM Game at Big Bang Bar
November 27, 2010 starting at 2pm

The biggest rivalry in college football is about to get even better! Get ready to watch OSU take on Michigan in a whole new way...  at a Pig Roast!

We've booked out an entire bar (The Big Bang Dueling Piano Bar) and set up several giant projection TVs to catch every moment of the game. Don't worry about parking or crowded bars, get the best seat in the house in your own VIP bar! Unless you have tickets to the game, this is the next best spot to be.

We've also catered a great buffet of food including a whole roasted pig! With some of the best food and a full-service bar at your fingertips, it will be the only way you'll want to watch this great match-up!

In the Know

If we really want to see creative entrepreneurialism pop in Columbus, there are few projects more dynamic than Wonderland.

Bringing together artists' studio space, co-working space for small businesses, recording, performance and exhibition space, and micro-retail - this is a facility that fulfills many roles and would be a shot in the arm for growing the ideas of our best and brightest. Wonderland is being developed from the creative community's grassroots up, with a focus on innovative business development and sustainability.

How can we help support the vision?

One way is just a few easy clicks away, as they are applying for a $250,000 Pepsi Refresh Grant:  http://www.refresheverything.com/wonderland
